We'll move on to the next topic for discussion on Sunday.
 I do like this topic about Snape because he's always been a mixed bag with the fandom. We acknowledge everything he has done wrong of course and we are aware of that but he also saved Harry's life and I do think that's a big deal because he could have still betrayed him and be loyal to Voldemort instead. __________________

Yes that's also me with Snape. I wasn't sure if he was good or bad especially in the beginning. And even towards the end, I was still unsure and it didn't help that he killed Dumbledore.

Though I'm sure Alan had a field day playing him because he was an ambiguous character. He's not entirely evil but he's also not a good person.

I changed the thread title for the latest discussion.
My answer is probably both. I do pity him because he grew up with parents who are not supportive and he didn't have a happy childhood. So that really affected him and the way he sees life. Which led him to the dark side and exploring dark magic and wanting to find happiness in being all powerful. __________________

Same here.. I mean, I felt bad that he didn't have a good childhood, but once he started to know about the dark magic even tho he had the choice, so he chose the dark magic..

He could still be at the good side if he's friends with the right people but he also let darkness consume him and studied dark magic so that really led him to do evil things.

He had a choice and chose the evil side. His background and tragic backstory also helped him to continue in that path.
