Honestly, I tho the same thing, but I was disappointing..

That's why I'm assuming that while he was obliviated and forgot what happened in NYC, the spell wore off and he was able to remember everything eventually. I do think that's a problem because what if Jacob was just some random person and is not friends with Newt? Then that means he'll remember magic. Although the Thunderbird was able to make most of NY forget magic so in that regard Jacob is safe because it was only Queenie who put a spell on him.

I mean, they flew from NYC to UK?? And he didn't remember how he got there when they saw Newt???

He was under the love potion so he has no recollection of flying from NY to London. I think he just saw it as normal as he was with Queenie. But when the spell wore off, I can't remember if Jacob was shocked to be in London and at Newt's house.

He would notice since he's a wizard. And if Tina was there, she'd notice as well. Even to us muggles, it was obvious something was off with Jacob but I had no idea that it was the love potion until it was mentioned.

Here's a bit about that creature:
