Ron has a lot of insecurities. And Harry has led a tragic life. Harry has no one so the Weasleys became his family. And because Harry was treated like family, Ron gets jealous of him sometimes (especially when it comes to attention given to Harry).

I think Ginny got the most attention because she is the youngest and the only girl. And then Ron has Harry for a best friend who is quite popular at Hogwarts so that puts him as Harry's shadow so I understand his insecurities.
