it would be interesting to see a happy, joyous, generous, etc all things good version of Valde....but I was happy to see him die at the end and be reformed like some of these other villians on these tv shows

I forgot his name.. he wanted to give a speech to his comrades at Hogwarts.....and approached Valde.... and Valde. let him speak his peace without killing him-
Vale. didn't see him as a threat to his mission... but he at least let the student have the floor and speak his peace....

it's a minute or two after Valde/ Death Eaters arrive at Hogwarts one last time for final battle

He says "I've got something to say" and Valde lets him speak instead of killing him
