I guess it's okay since Flamel is French and they were in France for part 2 so he can appear. But overall he didn't contribute much to the SL other than a few laughs.

It's the same with having McGongall in the flashbacks for part 2. Only for us to get excited over it but overall nothing.

I don't think so. I think it's just the fact that they do live longer than muggles. Case in point, Newt. He was still alive during Harry's time.

That's the only explanation I can get behind why McGonagall appeared in part 2. It also means she and Dumbledore knew each other for a looooong time.

IKR? I think it's only for nostalgia. Also perhaps it would be also nice if instead of Hicks, it's McGonagall though I'm also fine with her not being there for everything.
