Yeah the Blacks were not given a backstory in the books but I can imagine their parents are probably strict and are the typical wizarding family. They're probably like Lucius & Narcissa.

I wish the books explored the Black family but of course that's already straying away from Harry's storyline so we'll never get any backstory unless, like I keep saying, JKR writes something about it on the WW site.
