And that too. I think if it's arranged, then the parents choose. If they choose, then they should only choose pure blood like their family.

Certainly. Maybe that's why Sirius never married? He doesn't like arranged marriages or choosing another pure-blood simply because they have to. I mean Andromeda (Narcissa & Bellatrix' sister) was exiled from the family after marrying a muggle.

I think they do. I'm trying to recall that MACUSA scene with Newt. There was like a jury & a judge but I can't remember a lawyer?
Oh wait, I think there are lawyers. In HP, that scene of Dumbledore defending Harry. He's not a lawyer per se but since he's Headmaster, he takes precedence to 'defend' Harry because of his accusations of using magic in-front of muggles (which isn't allowed). __________________
