Ah that makes sense like with wild animals here in the real world. They're not seen everywhere but you can only see them in their habitat, a rain forest or the mountains.

It makes sense like with giants. They're not really known to have good relations to both muggles and the wizarding world so they're probably cast off in a place meant for giants. I guess it's the same with elves.

We only saw two giants in HP and they both live in different countries. We saw more elves at least but sadly they are servants (most of them).

Oh damn, 3 giants. I forgot about Grawp.
 Also in the books, the giants were not mentioned a lot and I understand they're secondary characters but I was low key expecting there'd be more of them if we have Hagrid in the wizarding world. __________________

Ah yes they probably live in the forest but most likely a forest where there are no wizards near it.

They don't, at least majority of them. Some wizards do live in the forest, probably the not-so rich ones.
