[the fantastic beasts] #9: "Ah, come on, that's a Bowtruckle. They pick locks, am I right?"

Niffler - mischievous, yet adorable creatures that look like a cross between a mole and a duck-billed platypus and like to steal shiny things. The animals have a magical pouch that allows them to store their treasures.
Bowtruckle - cute little critters that look like a cross between some sort of Praying Mantis and a stick bug brought to life. Unlike stick bugs, Bowtruckles are actually made out tree stems, with their own little branches. They are particularly adept at picking locks.
Demiguise - primate-like critters, which resemble a little orangutan, that have the ability to become invisible at will. They can also see the immediate future, making them hard to catch.
Erumpent - these large creatures look like a rhinoceros, but can actually be quite friendly despite their intimidating form. On the top of their head is a massive, glowing horn full of a lethal fluid which will explode anything it pierces.
Thunderbird - big and beautiful majestic birds. Not only can they create storms by flapping their wings, but they can also sense danger.
Occamy - two-legged winged serpents that look like a mix between a bird and a dragon. As Newt explains in the film, their egg shells are made of pure silver, and they have the ability to shrink or grow to fit in the space available to them.
Nundu - gigantic leopards-like creatures whose necks expand like a puffer fish
Swooping Evil - reptiles with the wings of a beautiful butterfly. Their venom can be used to rid of bad memories.
Graphorns - dinosaur-like creatures whose hides are tougher than a dragon’s and can repel most spells. Newt revealed he had the only breeding pair left in the world and, thanks to his care, they already had one offspring.

Yep. The Phoenix is an amazing creature. Hopefully we'll see them in these next 3 FBAWTFT movies. :fingers_crossed:

fly me to the moon 04-28-2021 03:52 PM

At least we saw it in part 2, in end of the movie..

L i N d $ @ y 04-29-2021 02:11 AM

Did that phoenix just appear there or does Credence (or Grindelwald) own it?

fly me to the moon 04-30-2021 03:37 PM

It was Grindelwald who showed him and told Credence that Phoenix run in his family's generation..

And he knows that because he's close to Dumbledore. But why do I have a feeling that Dumbeldore knows about Credence but he probably doesn't know where he is? He's probably abandoned as a child since he's an Obscurus. :look:

I think that he knew where he was at bec he mentioned that in the ending of the movie..

Dumbledore mentioned at the end of part 2 that he knew where Credence was? Why didn't he tell Newt? They were looking for Credence!

fly me to the moon 05-02-2021 04:19 PM

He did told him that, but they didn't want to go there to start battle, but one thing that they need to break the bond between Dumbledore and Grindelwald..

L i N d $ @ y 05-03-2021 03:13 AM

So they need to destroy the pact that they made. And Dumbledore wants Newt to help. They weren't clear as to what's gonna happen to either Dumbledore or Grindelwald if one of them doesn't honor the pact that they made.

Yeah which that's why they decided to go against him..

Even though Jacob didn't remember when he put up his bakery, his subconscious mind made him do this. :)
