Sarah Michelle Gellar: The New Sabrina?
Hey guys i found this article at buffy.nu and figured I'd start a new thread about it so people can discuss it :)
Sarah Michelle Gellar - ’Buffy’ star gets ’Sabrina’ movie role ? From Teenhollywood.com - 2004-09-18th Sexy actress Sarah Michelle Gellar will be 30 when she plays adolescent Sabrina in the movie adaptation of Sabrina The Teenage Witch. The Buffy The Vampire Slayer star, 27, has beaten Britney Spears and the TV show’s star Melissa Joan Hart to the part, which begins filming in late 2006. A source says, "A few names have been mentioned, including Britney Spears, but recently she’s lost that teenage innocence tag. "Gellar might be a bit older but she still looks fantastic." |
Cool, I haven't heard anything about this before! This could be an intresting role for Sarah. I'd like to see her as Catwoman but a role as a witch could be relly cool too! I hope we hear more news about this!
Don't believe this. The source isn't reliable either.
I'm absolutely not sure but I think it would be cool and it was posted on Buffy.nu.:)
Buffy.nu is reliable. I trust them completely.
buffy.nu is just a site who picks/steals info from other sites and repost them ( a lot without permission)
Sabrina the teenage witch is not really something that is respected (no disrespect to people who liked the show and the movies). It would be a huge step back in her career and that's why (and the unreliable source) I don't believe that she really would do this. And it also doesn't make sense. If there's a movie that Sarah really signed for, it will be posted at Variety.com. Variety is a very reliable source and they were both the first one who posted the news about Sarah signing for Southland tale and The Grudge ETA: Buffy.nu is a buffy site made by Buffy fans. They get there information by reading other sites and post them. Even if it's tabloid news. Buffy.nu says: Sarah Michelle Gellar - ’Buffy’ star gets ’Sabrina’ movie role ? From Teenhollywood.com - 2004-09-18th And teen magazine picked this from a UK tabloid magazine. |
Yes, it migth be true that she would never consider this role and I actually do think it's false but hey, it's still fun to think about;)
Btw, I actually love Buffy.nu because they post the newest pics and they have all the articles etc and yes, this is probably just rumors, which I personally think it is because I don't see Sarah in this role, but a rumor is a rumor until it's proven otherwise. |

They do ask permission when they repost something or otherwise they will give a link. A lot of Buffyfans are pissed at Buffy.nu for stealing there pictures, video etc. |
Okay, so you don't like Buffy.nu. I don't want to start some fight here between people who like it and don't so lets just discuss the rumors, okay?:)
i cant see anyone doing that role but MJH.
Well I am definately doubting this source because I think (I hope) that SMG is alot smarter than that.
It sounds like a horrible idea to me and I certainly do not want to see her in this role. If anyone it should be MJH, I honestly don't think SMG would do this role. I mean I can definately grant that she has made some sucky movie choices (namely the Scooby movies) but I don't think she'd do this. It would be career suicide. *crosses fingers, toes and anything that can possibly be crossed that this is inaccurate* |
 Samii, I gotta agree with you. I don't see Sarah in this role and I don't know why she would even consider that. It must be some teen rumor going around.
Hopefully this isn't true. This would only stick Sarah in the teen genre longer, she needs to branch out and do more important pieces. :)
Yeah totally. That is why I think the Grudge was a smart and good thing to do! It's gonan be a really good movie, IMO.
I agree. Some people seem to think it's a typical horror movie, but I don't think so. Just having a Japanese director working on it, shows it's going to be something different. :)
