I started reading a fic about Angel needed to sacrifice one of his Childer to save Connor.

So he goes to Sunnydale & OMG everybody was against it.

Now I could see Buffy & Dawn against it. It's Season 6.

Xander & Giles saying Spike was a part of their team.

The Spike worship that we don't even get to see how happened in a bigger story was over the top.

I get fans enjoy that kind of stuff but I wish there had been something that showed how Spike got to this point with the gang.

I couldn't read it anymore after one chapter.

Yeah, I know what you mean with going over the top with fics. I get wishing character interaction a certain way but I like to know how they got there.

It's just been so long since I had read a Spike worship fic written like this.

Angel was treated so bad too.

So totally for bashing him as well.

The only thing that would make sense is if someone had time travelled to fix things in this fic added.

I will give points to of Angel having to make this kind of sacrifice is an idea that makes sense & could have been good with where the Spuffy relationship was at that point. Even if it wasn't healthy.

I don't mind Riley bashing.

I can take some small Angel bashing.

Like about how he would just show up with cryptic messages instead of helping.

I want it to make sense in some way.

That is something that bugs me.

I like when there's some truth to the bash, but not over the top.

You know I don't love Dawson, but I made him likeable in my post-finale PJ fic.

B/C honestly the writers on the show wrote him as the bad guy Season 3.

I think that was pretty clear.
