I just watched that episode and thought Buffy could of EASILY grabbed Faith before she threw herself off the roof, but during the commentary, they said they didn't want Buffy to be a killer. I can see that, even though Faith had it coming. I guess Buffy was so in shock that she stabbed Faith.

Buffy accidentally killing Ted and Faith accidentally killing Alan (was that his name?) were so similar. Faith just didn't get a magical 'get out of jail free' robot card.

Yeah, I agree. Buffy looked like she instantly regretted it as soon as she pulled the knife out (but still feel Faith had it coming, hell she's the one who poisoned Angel) In general, Buffy just could of easily dragged Faith to Angel cause she was putty in her hands after she stabbed her. I loved that moment when Ted slapped Buffy then she was like "I was hoping you would do that," and she destroyed his ass. I hated how her mom treated Buffy at first when Ted was "dead." Buffy told her he threatened her and Joyce ignored her. As her MOTHER, that was foolish and selfish of her.

Joyce was a mess that episode. I think we're supposed to believe that Ted's drugged cookies were making her OOC and compliant.
