A test screener has posted a review on the Americana IMDB board. They thought it was decent but they also weren't keen on Emilie. Heh.<sigh>

Well sounds like a guy who's not into chick shows.

Seems like he only ever saw Emilie in LOST, so it's weird for him seeing her play someone really different than Claire.

the poor guy, definitely do not think soaps especially something about fashion is not his thing.

That's actually a terrible written review. Nothing substantial was really in it. It's just I like this person or not.

It will be interesting seeing how other guys react to it though.

Less than 2 weeks for ABC upfronts, so I am sure we will hear news soon.

Meanwhile, there have been some issues on BEAUTY & THE BEAST but its deep Disney roots and the fact that, like Once and unlike Gotham and 666, it is owned by ABC is making it a strong contender for a pickup. Period soap GILDED LILYS has cooled off after a lackluster screening, with SCRUPLES still soft.

I think they pick random people based on your profile probably. They probably wanted a broad spectrum with people who will give answers and don't know the actors that well.

It's supernatural/sci-fi, so it's not really direct competition.

Are you allowed to reveal whether the survey is yes-or-no questions only? Or do they seek comments as well?

Based on what deadline said for ABC, many of those shows are still in contention to be picked up. ABC might have more shows than they thought, so some will have to get cut or start midseason instead.

They asked me to rate the pilot from 1 to 10.
How interested I'd be in watching future episodes, 1-10.
They went through each character, had to choose whether I liked them or not(1-10), and if I'd like to see more/the same/or less of them in future episodes, if the actor is believable in the role, etc...
Then they went through all the different relationships, asking which ones I liked.
Asked if I remained interested throughout the entire episode.
Asked about the pace of the show, if I was confused by anything.
If it should be a full season or just 13 episodes.

It was a long survey.

Terry O'Quinn is basically playing John Locke again. Same role. I didn't really like it, didn't hold my attention. If it gets picked up, I can't see it lasting more than 1 season. When it comes to network TV, Sci-fi/Supernatural shows only seem to do well on the CW.
