I think Belle wanted to feel a part of the overall group, so she hid how hurt she was, sometimes how angry she was, from them. We saw in 6x11 that she felt foolish for having trusted them after they betrayed that trust...she learned the hard way that they were never her friends.

This makes me think how, in all of emilie's tv projects her characters are always outsiders, never part of the main group. Next time she's in a show, I

her character is part of the important crowd and makes the important decisions .

Agreed! Of course, it all depends on what Em wants...... she may not want to be a lead character considering she'd have to work looooong hours consistently. On a limited series, that might be ok, but on a regular series ? I doubt it as Vera is still a baby and she wouldn't want to be away from her all that time.

I wasn't referring to her time on ONCE...... as far as I'm concerned, she was criminally underused. On ONCE, she wasn't a real "lead" character, but she was a regular - and a phenomenal actress (and Belle was a wonderful character). I think she was given far better material than, say, Colin - who played another love interest of a lead - but she was still primarily used to keep Rumple good or "gray/bad". The best/worst example of this was 6B. I really loved that arc for Rumbelle and Rumple, but Belle didn't have much to do, and she wasn't even given a scene with adult Gideon.

My original point references any future roles Em might have.......but only she knows for sure. She's certainly good enough to be a lead...All anyone has to do is go ask Bobby (or watch her......)

I LOVE Belle and Neal/Bae, LOVE them. Belle loved him from the first moment that Rumple told her about him, and she was always so maternal towards him - and he needed that maternal figure in his life, IMO. I wanted more from that relationship, but I'm grateful for what we got. I like to think they are together now....

I think Bae was waiting for Belle; I'm sure he was watching her, his papa, his brother, as they lived such beautiful, happy lives....the same way I have NO doubt that Belle has been watching Rumple all these years, so proud of him, waiting for him.....
