Welcome to the 24th Appreciation Thread of Buffy and Angelus

Everyone has it. Rarely do we have the luxury to face it, but know this:
it is always waiting and watching for the one
moment in time to emerge. What is it you wonder?
IT is the darkness that resides in us all.
For Buffy, night after night she is forced
to confront this darkness. At times she is triumphant.
At others, she is weak and succumbs to it.
Is it the demons and vampires that she battles
endlessly that bring it out of her you ask?
Yes and no.
For Buffy they are one in the same.
It is not a multitude of the unnatural that
calls it forth in the Slayer. No, my beloved,
it is one demon who forcibly makes Buffy Summers
acknowledge the darkness within. His name you ask?
Angelus.
A more seductive and sinful vampire
you will never encounter, but will secretly long to.

I always feel that Angelus still has an unfinished business with Buffy! I wish the writers had found way to delve into their relationship as separate to Buffy/Angel.

could be..but I don't think it would be the same as B/S crap storyline...because unlike spuke, Buffy got the hots for Angel's evil side.
And I don't think it would be a self-punishment thing as Buffy felt during S6, and most definitely, I don't want to think it would led to Attempted Rape. If Angelus wanted to rape Buffy, he could have done it in "Passion" while she was sleeping on her bed or after they were possessed by ghost on IOHEFY...Even at evil mode, I can say that Angelus has much class act than any vamp in the BTVS. Heck, even Dracula took advantage of Buffy and bit her in the neck..But Angelus...hmm, he just went crazy and kill people surrounding Buffy, but still, that's much class act, in an evil kinda way !

I agree he didn't actually physically harm Buffy till the end of S2 in their show down. Angelus may have been evil but he did have class

^actually they did fight before Becoming pt2. The one when Buffy got hospitalized. Angelus got the upper hand and I really thought he would bite Buffy in the neck but then Xander came

I just wish the writers was able to delve deeper on Angelus' feelings for Buffy. They kinda left us hanging on his famous line of "To Kill this girl, you have To Love her"..but then, if he really wanted to kill Buffy, why he didn't continue to pretend as Angel so he could play her emotions further more? He killed people to get her attention, provoking her to be angry than stay in-love him....
..It would be interesting to see how Angelus was conflicted on his feelings for Buffy. He is an evil vamp with so much pride! He always wanted to be in control that's why he killed his father to make him feel he was over him. He might be Darla's boytoy, but then we knew eventually how Darla could be able to leave him once in awhile and he would join other vamps (such as Penn) to create havoc in other place. He is SO confident of himself, that's probably why when he felt "something" for Buffy, he suddenly lost control. For Angelus, human emotions such as Love, is an act of weakness. So instead of looking weak, he just want to seize control again by destroying the world. At least, that made sense to me

Angelus/Buffy has SO MUCH potential storyline than the one we got during S6! If only the writers had found a way.....BTVS might have ended with much MORE INTEGRITY than it had.
