When a popular children's show begins to steal the life forces of children by hypnotizing them, Angel (David Boreanaz) goes directly to the studio to uncover the evil doings. Upon entering the building, Angel triggers a spell that transforms him into a puppet. In a race against time, puppet-Angel and company must find a way to reverse the spell, save the lives of hundreds of children and return Angel to his normal vampire state. Meanwhile, Nina (guest star Jenny Mollen), the werewolf Angel befriended, returns to declare her romantic intentions, but puppet-Angel is too embarrassed to reciprocate.
Alexis Denisof, Amy Acker, J. August Richards, James Marsters, Andy Hallett and Mercedes McNab also star. The episode was written and directed By Ben Edlund.

It was a nice episode, very funny, I loved Angel's puppet maybe you people didn't but I found it cute as Fred said [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img].

What didn't make sense was that Puppet Angel defeated Spike at the elevator, or maybe Spike was laughting too much that couldn't fight.

Nina and Angel... no please, I'm still mourning Cordy so don't do this.

ETA: Now I understad why Fury writes the things he writes... the puppet controls him [img]smilies/tongue.gif[/img].

Okay, I have to admit that I was impressed with this episode. The previews did absolutely nothing to impress me, but I watched the ep anyway. And I am glad that I did.

I was a little surprised to see Nina again, and to discover that she had been a monthly visitor to W&H since she was introduced on the show, yet has never been mentioned or shown at all between being introduced and this one. Especially since there was so much talk about how there was so much going on with Nina that Angel missed, and about how much everyone had been talking about her.

It was nice to see Knox again. I like the character, but think that Fred has been a bit unfair. Maybe that is just me, though.

Gunn has me very concerned. I wonder what is going to happen with him. If what the doctor said is true, then perhaps he will get some sort of reprimand form the Powers That Be. After all, they supposedly want him to lose those abilities.

Angel/Nina doesn't impress me. I can't believe he is so willing to "move on" after what happened with Cordelia. It doesn't make a lot of sense, and is quite out of character for him.

Wes/Fred... For being such a smart man, Wes can be pretty stupid sometimes. I like how Fred finally gave him a clue he could see and not deny, though. As for the couple... I dunno. I will wait and see how things go.

I think my favourite part, though, was when Angel was fighting the leader of the puppets, and he turned into a vampire puppet! That was cool, and something I was definitely not expecting.

Oh, and it was nice of them to give Spike a little something to do, too. [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] Can you say "afterthought"?

I liked this ep. I want an Angel puppet. NOW.

I agree with almost all of Rob's post, exept for the Knox thing. I don't like Knox...I've never liked Knox..I never will like Knox.

I liked that when he "forgot" to get Wes a coffee...Fred gave him some of hers. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]


I like Wes, and although I am not really fond of Fred, I think that he has waited so long for her, and he deserves to be happy. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

I would like to rewatch this ep a few more times. it was really funny.

David must have been laughing so much while he was recording his lines for this. I mean, it was so he was a puppet!

I hate Angel/Nina but I don't think it is out of character because of Cordelia. Angel realized that he hadn't even seen the real Cordy (aside from YW) since the S3 finale. She was tricked into going to another dimension and he thought she was doing important work when she was just dangling there waiting to be rescued. And then when she is brought back he is so concerned about her after she was returned from a higher plane but it just made me angry that he wasn't there for Buffy when she actually did sacrifice her life to save teh world and go to a higher realm of bliss and happiness and was ripped out and brought back to the Hellmouth and was suicidally depressed because of it. The "perfect" dream he had with Cordy wasn't even real in dream terms since that person didn't exist. She was possessed and he didn't know it so the person in his dreams wasn't rooted in any sort of reality since at that time Cordy was Jasmine. Angel had already moved back to Buffy-thoughts since he tried to get back together in Chosen. There wasn't even going to be a final sendoff of Cordy/CC. They were just going to let her linger in the coma forever but Sarah was filming a movie overseas so they had to think of something else to do with the 100th episode.

I would've loved if Spike added "Wee little puppet man" to his list of Angel insults. Caveman brow. Poofter. Captain forehead.
