Feh. I'm sorry to hear about Max. I myself own a cat too (Yoshi) and if a day comes when I have to make the choice of putting her to sleep, I don't know what I'd do.

Thanks guys I'm doing okay he was in alot of pain and knowing he isn't suffering anymore makes it a little less painful. He had a very long life and I was blessed to have him in mine. I hope your cat lives a full long life too.

Everyone keeps telling me to get a kitten but I can't do it so soon I'll keep you updated if and when that might happen.

Cyn, I'm so sorry. I put my own cat to sleep two years ago (he had a liver disease). I was devastated.
And I only had him for a few years. I can only imagine how upset you are. [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]

And yes Katie, Colin was great but I found it a bit odd when he fluffed my pillows and insisted on sleeping above my head....Hum maybe he thought It would make me feel better or something?

Brian you should have had your cat treated at least once for heartworm! after that the cat should be okay unless it shows signs of illness. If you got your cat at a shelter it would have already been treated.
