Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

I like C4B5D1 too or any pink or pale purple colour.
I like (Succulent Hues) #BB5779 but it might be too dark for the board.

We usually use a combination of the colours from one or more colour schemes so darker shades would be used for minor areas such as buttons, links, and the bars .

Based on the purple suggestions it looks like you like purple/blue shades so I am wondering if you are leaning towards pink and purples or blues and purples? Or perhaps a combination of all three? There are also greens on that page so are you a fan of those or are you just looking at the purples/pinks?

I'm leaning towards pinks and purples. I really like #CFBBCE which is near the top of the page.

Unfortunately most of those pictures are not usable. We do not use black and white pictures and cannot use pictures where his head is cut off. I cannot get the first link to work and the forth option is too small to work with. Are there any more pictures like the third option? Is it from a photoshoot with other pictures in it? Ideally we try to work with recent high quality pictures from the one photoshoot.


When posting the colours you like it may be a good idea to use the colour tag ([COLOR="Insert Name/Hex Code"]Insert Name/Hex Code[/COLOR]) so that everyone can easily see what the colour looks like. When you just post the letters everyone has to try and find which you meant on that page.


Since pink is now vetoed I recommend looking at some purple and blue colour schemes to see if there are any you like if that is what you would like to go with. Otherwise I could put together something based on the colours you have listed?

Just looking at the colours you like you could combine them with something like this? Alternatively this has some nice soft tones while this has some darker tones and they could look quite nice combined together? This could be a nice option as well as it has a mixture of both blues and purples and dark and light shades so it could work on its own or combined with your colours above. Those are just some of my suggestions from my quick search, you of course do not have to go with any of them and may be able to find something you like even better .

as Long as the pinkish colours aren't dominant, I can surely live with them ... but I have to take a lot at them again at home, since my Computer at work Shows the colours slightly different than my Laptop at home

Only one of the colours is pink from my list so if it was included it would only be minimally, with the rest of the colour scheme made up of blues and purples. Are there any colour schemes which stand out to you or are you happy with the graphics team to take whatever they want from any of them ?
