Well, I saw the series rather out of order the first time, so I was never that surprised by who he was.
 but he certainly is a different kind of guy from what you'd expect, only knowing Spike |

I really liked William. I can't even remember how I felt about Spike before seeing him as William, its been so long already, but it is very important to understand that to see the person that Spike became.
