Goren is always watching and sees everything. I enjoy that he doesn't drop that element of his character even when he is not the focus of the scene. I felt he did it a bit in the scene in Deakins' office too.

I like the Goren/Eames scene at their desks.

When Eames, Goren and the ADA are discussing the case outside of court, it's obvious that it was such a different time compared to now.

I feel like his experience & knowledge of the Catholic Church helped him with the case too. It was subtle & he didn't make it well known, but it was there

I get that . Agree it wouldnt be worded like that now. People were certainly more narrow minded then & you wouldn't have lines like that now at least in a show, they wouldn't get away with it. They probably have changed the definition of battered wife syndrome or have a different term for it when it applies to males or same sex relationships
