For me I find that OC, unlike the others, is one you need to watch in order. You can't really just pick up a random episode to watch.

The thing I love most about OC is it's really the evolution of Elliot Stabler.
It's also a lot more gritty in terms of story/plot. Darker themes with gang/mafia/mob like story arcs and how far spread some of those groups go. |

I like how the show has refreshed the franchise & taken things in a different direction. Unlike other shows which follow a similar formula, but with their own unique focus

^^ I agree, plus we don't have a lot of court room scenes, like with L&O and SVU.
It's the undercover work that I love a lot. |

They focus on the case, & have it as an arc. You can't just pick up a random episode to watch. Some of the other L&Os have had less focus on the court, or less focus on the law. But this one focuses on a case for longer before it gets to the court. The court is a small part of the process. So it is a nice change.

^^ Exactly. It's a lot more of the what gets them to court in the end.
Plus there's more room/time to develop relationships when there isn't a courtroom scene ever other episode. |
