Great post fractured moonlight! Yeah I really hope they explore more of the Hyde next season since it's not really clear exactly how it worked with controlling Tyler and how much he knew/remembered or if he could really do anything about it.

I didn't notice the music in that scene but I love analysis like that. I'm so glad someone caught that.

Yeah! It will be fun to see where they take him in the next season.

That moment stood out to me so much when I watched it. One of the best use of music to tell a moment in the show in my honest opinion.

I truly love when the music helps tells the story.

Thank you. You can call me Heather. I could be wrong but I do think that's something they will explore a lot more of in s2 and I really can't wait.

I'm think so too.

I am definitely excited about it.

I am so glad it did stand out because I didn't catch it all but it's such a clever way to add and give clues to the scene and show there may be more going on.

I love it too. Music can be such a powerful tool in storytelling.

For me, I'm not saying there wasn't more to him. Like maybe yes the crying meant more. But we also do have to point out how he didn't seem to regret anything. He didn't even say he regretted anything nor did he act like he did.
I do feel bad that despite his dad neglecting him, that he still got manipulated by Laurel. And yeah maybe it was the Hyde part of him that was more in control since yes we don't seem to know a whole lot about it. Which is why I'm kinda hoping they delve deeper into Hydes next season.

I mean that's all we can hope for.

I don't think we know a whole lot about his mom either right? Like we only know a little bit as far as I remember.

You say he didn't act like he regretted anything but I disagree. Him crying was that very thing imo. That was him showing. I mean sure it would have been nice to have that kind of confirmation of him actually saying it but I'm good with what we got so far. Plus I think that is being saved for S2 when we get to explore more.

I really hope so too and I really think they will. The Hyde stuff was such a huge part in S1 and kept reminding us that no one knows how they truly are and they were the outcast to even the outcast. So I really think they and Tyler/his Hyde will be explored much more in S2.

I don't think so but I think it might have been said she was bipolar but I'm thinking that might have something to do with her being a Hyde rather than actually being bipolar. But I can't remember exactly. I should probably do a rewatch.

Yeah, I don't think he were able to say he regretted it. Because I do think the hold Laurel and the Hyde on him where to strong. And only few moments though the season was the really Tyler. The most noticeable were the tears in the eyes scene.

Really looking forward to see what will happen next season with him.

Same. No matter what Tyler and/or Hyde really wanted to do Laurel/Marilyn (I don't know which one to call her ) was still his "master" and he would have had to do whatever she wanted.

Now there may be a way for him to break free (even beyond her dying) but that wouldn't have helped yet as I'm sure he has no idea there might be (if there is). Nobody probably does as the Hydes are so unknown.

A part of me wants to agree only a few but sometimes another part thinks maybe Tyler might have been there more than we think in certain scenes (either way though he would still be controlled by Laurel/Marilyn). But then again we really don't know how all this works. Maybe both are present but the Hyde is more dominating. I wonder if the Hyde is like its own personality entirely or if they became a merged personality or what. I wish we knew more already.

No matter the case though I still believe what I believe. And I agree. I do believe the tears are a pretty big indicator there is more going on and Tyler (maybe even the Hyde - however it works) wasn't completely on board with everything.

I also think the bathtub scene was showing us more of that too. At first it could be seen as ok maybe Tyler is just frustrated with his dad but I feel like finding out he's a Hyde adds more layers to that scene.

Same. I can't wait.

So true about Laurel.

I'm really curious to see what will happen now with him. How and if they can help him to control the Hyde.

I have forgotten the bathtbh scene. But I agree. That can be Tyler being frustrated with knowing what happens but can control it at all..

I actually hope Tyler does come back for S2 and they delve into all this so there is concrete proof cause right now, all of that is speculation. I still feel the same and feel like he knew what he was doing, went along with it, and didn't regret it. We'll see eventually what they really do with Tyler and the Hyde.

Of course it's all speculation. I have personally even admitted that I could be wrong. None of us know anything and we can all believe what want until we find out the truth and then go from there.

And I still really like Tyler character's no matter what the case may be (from what has been discussed) and I'm very interested in knowing more.

I've updated the board guide but with this thread, since I post on my phone, can't seem to figure out how to edit the title of the thread.

Maybe Maurice (nola) can help. Just pm him.
