I can actually! If Viserys had chosen Daemon, he wouldn't have been seen as someone to easily manipulated. Daemon would have protected his brother from EVERYONE not a Targaryen!

For sure. Especially with the rumours of the grand maesters being part of a bigger plot to not heal the King. So many people wouldn't have gotten the chance to get this close to Viserys.

There is a fanfiction that is basically about both Daemon & Rhaenyra going back in time after they die to the day of the tournament, and they change history and it does go into the Hand of the King / Otto of it all.

It's really good because it does get into how - like Viserys says in the first episode - it's Otto who doubts Daemon at every turn and wants him far away from the crown, and basically poisoning the small council against Daemon.
