In the first episode Kate says that only because she probably make bad comments about teachers and students and bully them, but it's not just that. She is, but I think that's just because she's focused on herself - as Safran said all Monet cares about is Monet - and she doesn't care much of others' feelings. If someone annoys her, she says it. She goes always to the point, she does everything in her power to get what she wants.
If others get in her way, she reacts. She's the most "obvious", but eventually it's not like the others are all saints, even the adults (especially the adults, I'd say). __________________

Yeah, Monet is presented as such from the start, but she's just the more "open" about it
 she's surely doesn't fake who she is and thinks, so if she doesn't like Zoya, she doesn't pretend to be nice to her.Her mother is even worse, I think __________________
