people shipped them since the pilot, though, and still see romantic potential between them, no matter how many times Safran says that it wasn't even discussed in the writers room and that it's not gonna happen. As partners in crime they're great, though!

People always find a reason to ship people no matter how it will never happen.

I know, but at least having some little hope, at least? I shipped couples that weren't end game eventually, but at least they had something - some past or some feelings or hints at them being more than friends, even if just one sided - it wasn't out of nowhere
