A juicy episode for real :D

I liked the party drama, people getting invited as part of a scheme (:lol: the phones scene), affairs revealed. I already knew about Grace and the twin brother, so it wasn't a surprise for me (but it was seeing that Julien didn't know), but still the scene was amazing :lol: I didn't like that Obie had to blame Julien for this, as if she was the worst there! Seriously? Your girlfriend is sleeping with both her ex and his TWIN BROTHER and all you have to say is blaming Julien? Not that Julien was right at doing what she did, but still she's really the least guilty, here.

Luna has always the best lines, what can I say. Sad to see that she's being neglected by her parents - okay, she has a house and is taken care of with food and clothes and such, but still.

As I said in her thread, I liked to see more depth in Monet this episode. Such characters always risk to become caricatures (like Blair at some point of the OG), but this episode we saw that she has feelings and cares about people. Her mother is the worst, Monet didn't do anything wrong, she was just scared and once again Camille treated like the biggest disappointment of her life. How could Monet know, since no one bothered to tell her?

The throuple. I felt bad for Aki, because he was insecure about bottoming and so on, I wanted to hug him. He had every right to be pissed at the other two. BUT. Once again, why couldn't they TALK? I feel this is going to be a mantra in my episodes comments, but really. It's even more annoying, because each episode at the end they're like oh, we learnt from our mistakes, we son't do that again but then they do exactly the same thing, just about a different topic. YES, I KNOW THAT THE'RE YOUNG AND NEW AT THIS, but at some point I stop believing youy when you say that now you know you were wrong. It's the fourth episode in a row, for heaven's sake. Aki was wrong at not telling the other two (still I appreciate him taking his time, asking for advice and also Taking PREP first), the other two were wrong at following him and violating his privacy, even acing it like they were right at doing so.
But there's another thing that bothers me in this whole situation: the fact that the cheating thing only applies to Aki and not to Max. Why is okay if Max cheats and sleeps around while it's a crime if Aki (possibly) does it? Max being Max isn't an excuse just like the "saving face because it was only a scheme" isn't. It's not even because of the emotional cheating, because Audrey and Max clearly said that they though Aki was having sex with Rex, they don't say you love him or something. Is it just because in this case they hadn't decided it first, as we can guess from Audrey and Max lines about that at the party? Seriously? They weren't even officially esclusive (another thing that they should have decided and talked about before).
I imagined some romantic stuff for them in the episode, but there was nothing, like it's their first Valentine's day together and they don't even get presents. All they do is sex, which can be something, but I wonder if they needed to be in a relationship for that. Still Akimax had a sex scene which was basically just the two of them, so some crumbs for me.

I don't get what Shan "stealing" Zoya's crush had something to do with Shan keeping the secret of Nick and Davis. It makes me laugh that "I did it because I can't keep this secret anymore", I mean ??? It's going to be hard for Nick to get back Julien and Zoya's trust!

Julien Van Der Woodsen. A married man (I knew about this too, but still)?? Not that he's a saint, here. Following her, writing her he'd like to know her better...

Ohhh Kate found out! Interesting :D I admit that I liked the point her and Mike (or Matt?) made, that the kids behave that way because of their parents, deep down. It's something Safran said in an interview, that it happened also in the OG.

They updated the playlist of the second season with the episode songs, but they didn't add the Charli XCX song :confused:

but still it's a song that appeared in the episode, partially in the background too, so. Also it's already out, it's in her latest album. Just it seems it hadn't premiered already, it did in GG.

The Cast Of ‘Gossip Girl’ Breaks Down That Valentine’s Day Episode

Feels a little weird having a Valentine's Day ep nowhere near Valentine's Day. But obviously their timeline is the school year & that's what they're up to. Airing time is irrelevant. Plus they probably didn't know when it'd air either.

This ep felt a bit like the OG. I enjoyed it more than the previous episode.

Surprised that Grace had not one, but two, secret lovers. Brother & sister too? :blank: I'm glad Julien was able to reveal the truth for Obie to free him from that mess

I think they knew, but still the season was supposed to be the second semester of school anyway, it's always going to be like this, Safran said: each season is a semester. So it wouldn't mean anything anyway, I guess. The most weird thing is that it was a Valentine's Day episode and there was literally no romanitc stuff around :lol: like if they didn't say it, you wouldn't even notice. Not that I complain for not having the throuple doing romantic stuff :lol:


Yeah and I guess their mother already knoew? OPr at least that it had already happened in the past? Creepy.
