Gilmore Girls reruns have been playing a lot lately. I was able to watch a lot of their season 5 scenes. I forgot how much I use to ship them. I like how honest Logan is with Rory about how he wasn't ready for a commitment when they first get together. It was so obvious how much Rory liked Logan. She was upfront with Marty which I liked. She didn't use him to make Logan jealous. She went to the party with Logan's friend, but she didn't do anything to make him jealous. He took the other girl and was acting jealous. I got to watch another episode. I like how Logan stands up for Rory with is mom and grandfather. They were so nasty. He was so sweet coming back to see her at the end. I got to see some clips from Netflix. I didn't know he came to Stars Hollow with his friends and planned that music thing

Agreed. I loved Logan's upfront honesty with Rory. I never questioned their love for each other, it always seemed true and real printed all over their faces. And it was a mutual respect they had for one another, that's what sold me on them long-term.

I got to watch more reruns today. I like how they didn't judge each other and how he didn't like how his father treated her. I like how they just genuinely like being together. Rory's face lights up whenever she is around him and when she's talking to him. He just adores her too. I got to watch some clips from Netflix. They still had sparks. The situation wasn't the best, but they were honest about it. He came to Stars Hollow to surprise her and take her out which was sweet. I wonder if the show is going to come back again. I hope Logan is the father of Rory's baby. I saw an interview and AP planned on having Rory pregnant at the end of the series, but she didn't write the last season. If AP had written it, Rory and Logan might not have been together almost the whole season

Oh, I definitely still felt the sparks between them in the revival. It was the whole engagement to no-face and him having an affair with Rory that I wish never happened. I'm thankful we got to see them together still, I just wish it were under better circumstances. And I'm 110% sure the baby is Logan's, it doesn't make sense otherwise. I love the idea that he's still connected to Rory and that in my mind they make it work and Logan calls off the engagement with no-face to be with Rory and their child. I do NOT want ASP's fingers touching the RL story any longer.

If ASP had been writing season 7, it could have been a lot different. I remember two of the writers were from Dawson's Creek. I guess they liked writing for Rory and Logan because they kept them together without any third parties. Since we don't meet Odette, her backstory could have been an arrangement with Logan or she could have been seeing someone to

Exactly. Not enough information was given about no-face (Odette) for me to fully understand their dynamics as an engaged couple. It's obvious to me his heart wasn't in it. On the RL front, I'm more than happy ASP didn't contribute anything that season!

I just watched the episode when Logan proposes. It wasn't the best ending, but they did love each other. She was so young and not ready for marriage. I wonder what ASP would have done. I heard she had plans to end the series with Rory being pregnant in season 7. I watched when they went away for the weekend and invited Luke and Lorelai. Lorelai seemed to genuinely like Logan and even stood up for him to Luke. I didn't know or forgot they broke up every few episodes in season 6. I guess ASP wanted to keep the drama. I didn't think Logan cheated. Rory hadn't spoken in weeks or longer. I am glad ASP didn't write season 7 or she probably would have had them cheat on each other

Yeah, I didn't take much offense to his actions when they were separated in season 6, but I did NOT like how ASP wrote him in the revival. I wish we either got a better backstory to that seemingly arranged marriage to understand it better instead of just sabotaging his character like that.

I couldn't stand him at first! But that's how the writers had set him up, so people would judge him as people do, but later you begin to see the relationship grow and deepen, his personal character expand and it definitely changed my mindset about him.

For me it wasn't even about sabotaging just logan, but rory too. Like doesn't she care about one of her main characters? Rory was just as messed up if not more than logan. Atleast you could fanwank his stuff as fear? But, her sense of entitlement? Where was that coming from? she wasn't raised that way. While as a late gen xer can kind of relate, storywise it felt like she wanted to use rory to get another season because she is greedy like that.

I only saw bits and pieces of the revival. How was Rory entitled?

I got to watch more episodes. I didn't realize they got back together in 617. Even when they did, Rory still hadn't forgiven Logan. I forgot about the kiss with Jess. I like how she said she was still in love with Logan

I'm not about to try and understand or speculate ASP's intentions or motivations, but I certainly didn't care for what she did to them in the revival. I get wanting her to struggle instead of having this fairytale existence, but she did come across as entitled which was a little jarring.

hshapir2 - You'll have to see the revival in order to understand what we're talking about, but there was one scene in particular when she couldn't land a relatively easy job and whined about it in a very unprofessional manner in front of the employer, presumably for humor(?) but it came across as entitled.

Ugh, that kiss with Jess. I'm so glad she came back with that response and admitted her deep feelings for Logan. For me, that cemented their connection.

Exactly. If anything it laid the foundations for more story and I was looking for closure not Gilmore girls part deux.
