I'm watching this season right now but fast forwarding through all the Rory/Dean stuff.
 I just watched We got a Pippi Virgin and Luke was so happy when he thought he was just going to be hanging out with the girls. stupid dean.__________________

Exactly, he was right. I loved in the episode after Dean and Rory break up, Lorelai tells Luke not to gloat because he was right.
