I know that practically only JJs appreciate it here so much right now, but even the Sophies can't say a bad word cause they got their precious Logan during this season.. so everyone are happy

lol exactly, I think most of the BB's (if not all) are also Logan and Rory fans so they can't complain at all about season 5.;)

Millions of viewers appreciated season 5. As the ratings stephrox brought over show, people enjoyed those episodes. It wasn't just a JJ thing. Most of season 5 was heart-felt and honest, with that old sweetness and underlying aura of joy. It was before the rot set in.

Even the sad scenes that year, when things went badly, didn't feel sour like the way it is now.

Being a JJ fan and a Sophies fan, this was really a good season for me.. :)

True, but I think it also lies with what has happened in season 6 and how is was dragged out a bit too long, while in Season 5 storylines were solved more quickly, but not too quickly.

You're right. It's not just the writing - ASP wrote season 6 too, and that dragged horribly, getting more and more sour and strange.

I think season 6 didn't feel as bad as this year does because we watched with more hope then, assuming there was a reason for what was happening.

But even the R/L reconciliaton in season 6 turned out to be contrived. Soapy bedside hospital reconciliation? puh-leese. Whether or not you felt an R/L reconciliation was organic, the way it happened was totally unsatisfying - as was the reset button that ended the Rory rift.

Eh, I digress. But season 5 is the last solidly good memory I have from what this show used to be.

I'm going to say that I find this season not that bad as most people here, and compared to last season I find it just as good, and I liked season 6. The thing about S7 is that they are moving things a bit faster again.
Then again I'm easy to please when it comes to TV shows

While I'm glad that it happened, it could have been done in a better way.

I don't really have that feeling..

One of the things that I didn't like about S5 was how quickly L/L were back to happy again... I'm glad they got back together again in SGT but we went from kissing in the door to coffee in the diner. And after that there was no word about the break up anymore. I didn't really feel like they talked things through and that was a shame..

just because she wrote it does't me she did it right... it's not about who wrote what, what counts is if it was did right or wrong. and season 5 was written right. There were things lacking I would LOVE to see, but I didn't feel pain in my eyes from watching it

go_clo 12-31-2006 09:59 AM

Being a fan of of both seasons 5 and 6, I dont think anything was written wrong, I love season 6, I like the drama because it was different for the show. I liked the storyline even if it was depressing, I liked how everything took a long time time to solve cause it was more realistic and it kept you on your toes and watching. I just liked how it was written. I prefure season 5 of course but I think that the writers did an amazing job on both seasons. Having the same old thing every season would be dumb and boring.

Yea it was a bit soapy but I liked it because it was new to the show, no one on the show had ever made up like that. I did however find the way they found themselves at the hospital stupid but unexpected so I was ok with it.

lol dont mock, I like Logan too (or use too until he went all jerky again :irked:) he's not my first choice for her but I do/did like him. Sure he's alot like Chris and I did hate him for season 5 and half of season 6 because he was like him but there is a difference, he changed for the better unlike Chris (sorry any BB's)

I prefure Marty (more like Luke) which is another reason I looove season 5 so much;)

I'm absolutely not mocking you, or anyone who likes him, it wasn't about how alike he's with Christopher, trust me:nod: it was about something that I better not talk about

How dare you mock us like that, I love season 5 is my favorite season not just because of Logan but because I found the season to be balancing with all storylines I think its rude to mock a ship on a thread when were suppose to share

fox24 12-31-2006 11:22 AM

This whole thing that all BB fans are Sophies is a lie. Some BB's are Sophies and some Sophies are JJ's, and some like myself have no investment In Lorelai lovelife. So don't stereotype us like that. I know some BB who are not Sophies either.

I didn't say that all BB's are Sophies and visa versa, I said alot are. I know for a fact that not all Sophies are BB's seeing as how I am one of those. I was just saying that alot are because of the similaritys in the characters and the fact that alot of BB's that chat in the BB thread have sophie icons.

sidhe-seer 12-31-2006 11:42 AM

let's just say that some Sophies, who hate anything JJ like by nature (just cause it's JJ), go with the BBs just cause they are not JJs, cause of the fact BBs are the oppisite of JJs :lmao: or something like that
