I'm really enjoying this rewatch. In this episode they had all the fall decorations and pumpkins out, which totally put me in the fall mood.

Rory kissing Dean was cute, and I totally see why she felt so awkward after her mom invited him over for movie night. I see what Lor was doing but yeah, thats a bit dorky to hang out with the guy you like and your mom. However, Lorelei is definitely more of a "cool mom" and it was more of a hang out. The ending kiss was cute too and Dean saying "thank you" was so funny.

I can see why Rory didn't want to tell her mom about the kiss though, because her mom reacted so badly to Dean earlier. But it was nice to see Lorelei TRYING to get along with him. Her threatening speech to him was a bit awkward .

My favorite part of the episode was def. the Luke/Lor stuff though. I loved when he teased her about no underwear in the diner and then at the grocery store when he pulled her out so she wouldn't go up to Dean... that was so cute! Luke is adorable.

I love reading your thoughts on the episodes & I'm happy you’re enjoying the re-watch so much! Keep ‘em comin’. Gilmore Girls always has the power to make me feel good whenever I go back and watch an episode. Not many series can do that for me.

I love the seasonal feel of that first season. I might want to go back and watch that episode just so I can put myself in an Autumn mood.

Totally should. I used to do that, just watch fall/halloween episodes every october of random shows lol.

Its just crazy how different this rewatch is compared to my last one. Like, the first time i saw the show i liked it and it was cute. The second time through I realized how good the show was and thats when i got invested but this time, idk, its hitting me different. I feel like I relate to it SO MUCH MORE now then I did when I was younger.

And yes, its so heartwarming and just puts me in such a good mood. Everytime i decide to watch an episode it just lifts my spirits. Its such a feel good show but its also got so much heart. and its weird, I dont remember a lot of these scenes and so it still feels fresh to me.

I totally agree with you that it hits you differently each time you re-watch the series. I’ve gotten severely disparate reactions to it each time and I definitely grew fonder for Rory when I initially didn’t care for her character. The one true constant is that it makes me laugh and smile and feel good. I love that about this show. I try and space out my re-watches because I always want to keep it fresh so I never tire of it. After I finish my Castle re-watch I’m going to start up GG.

Yeah I loved Rory the first few times and didnt understand why everyone loved Lorelei more beause she often frustrated me. Perhaps because I was younger.

But this time I am really loving Lorelei and understanding her so much more. I also feel like I understand Emily so much more too when I disliked her a bit the first go around. I still love Rory though.

Snow in Stars Hollow!

The love and the cookies and the dean and whatever song was so hilarious.

Rory was DEFINITELY being a bad friend to Lane but I was glad they talked it out at the end. The scene with Lor and Lane was also really sweet.

I liked Max/Lor at first, but I have to say, I found them sort of cheesey this episode. just seeing each other in the snow and all the talking felt force to me. I did like seeing Luke get all jealous though .

I also liked seeing Rory with just her grandparents. Making the pizza was fun. It sucks that she cant ask about the past without her parents getting so upset though. And Rory taking the photo of Lor/Chris.. come on dude, he's a dud. But I get it, some kids want their parents back together (I never did! lol)

This was the dance episode. It was a doozy. Tristan was acting a fool with Rory He was soooooo jealous. Like I knew he liked her but I didnt think he liked her THAT much. Him picking a fight with Dean was silly. And I do agree with Rory that its probably part of the chase. But I do love their banter together and find them very fun to watch. Perhaps Tristan would have been the Jess had he been able to stick around.

Dean had some good comebacks in the episode but idk, I wasn't a big fan of him this episode. Rory clearly wanted to go to the dance and yes, he agreed in the end, but he was acting so aloof and uninterested about it, which was kind of sad to me. And the whole boyfriend conversation was a bit strange too how he was like "if you want me to be' as if he didnt really care. IDK, odd.

I loved that Emily stayed at Lorelei's because she was worried bout her being sick, that was so cute. Of course the whole thing was ruined by their fight about Rory and Dean but I think thats realistic for mom/daughter to argue. Emily just pushes things too far though, like she is always so harsh in the things that she says. But I do get that she is/was worried for Rory ending up like Lorelei and herself. I mean doesnt Emily get that because she was so strict with Lorelei growing up that she acted out?

Which makes me think, they could totally do a show called Gilmore Girls before and have it be around Lorelei and Emily's lives. That would be entertaining because Lorelei sounded like a wild child. Of course they would have to have different actors and I wouldnt want the series to be totally botched like other remakes but the idea of it would be sort of fun to see.
