They had it all planned out with Lorelai in terms of who she'd marry, even that's NO guarantee to leading a happy, successful life and/or career which was their vision. I did like seeing Richard defend his daughter, that was much needed in response to Chris's parent's scorn!

I hated how Chris' parents bashed Lorelai. And they didn't even wanna get to know Rory. Although, Chris wasn't part of Rory's life too much so I guess it makes sense that her other grandparents didn't want to be involved.

i dont like that at all either. they sound horrible.

episode 16, dean and rory only dated 3 months? it seemed longer. and rachel comes back. in all, it was a kind of bland episode imo. the rory/dean fight was so dumb imo.

richard lying for lorelai was really adorable. i love seeing that relationship grow between them.

It may have been dumb, but it was used to show Rory struggling with how she really felt for Dean? I DID like the wallowing bit.

when emily tried to set her up with that guy and lorelai left dinner early, she was climbing out her window and richard pretended she wasnt in her room. it was a sweet moment

i watched episode 17, it was so cute seeing luke all upset about the dean/rory break up. what a sweetie.

"paris needs no embellishment" what a good quote! ill add it to the titles.

i cant help it, i love the tristan/rory kiss. so much chemistry IMO. chad is just so cute and i loved that they had a real conversation too. its a shame they didnt take it anywhere further.

Hah! Great line and SO true when it comes to describing Paris!

I think it's always interesting to tell love stories when they began by 2 people hating each other, which is how Tristan/Rory started out. But, fate intervened and Chad got the role on OTH, so squashed that idea.

Yes, definitely! It felt like they were setting it (the TR relationship) up in the first & into the 2nd season, but was cut short in order to accomodate his career move.

I agree that they might have explored Tristan/Rory had Chad not left for OTH. That would have been interesting to see.

I FINISHED SEASON 1!

118 - it was really cute seeing emily worry about not seeing lorelai anymore. and it was also good to see her stressing over richards mom. also tristan likes rory <3

119 - rune is such a jerk! cant believe rory gave him a job. i loved this episode though, the new potential inn is super cute and i loved seeing emily is stars hollow.

120 - it was a bit irritating to watch in terms of roy, she was being a bit of a brat imo. i know she's upset about dean but she doesnt need to take it out on everyone else.

121 - the finale was okay. i dont like lorelai/max so the proposal didnt matter to me, i liked all the luke/lorelai stuff though. rory admitted she loved dean, which is good i guess but again, i dont really ship them either so I'm ready for season 2!
