The secret LDB meeting, the Tarantino party, the LDB reunion in AYITL... They are literally playing dress-up. Not to mention the references to Peter Pan and the Wizard of Oz... It's a fun adventure, but it's ultimately a fantasy, a play. None of it is real, and they can't take it with them.
