Agreed with this post I saw recently on tumblr

I know Susan and I both mentioned this before as well

Quote:
They put on disguises and roles. With Logan, Rory feels like someone more sophisticated and careless and exciting, insulated from the real world and its consequences. With Rory, Logan can pretend for a while that he has a carefree life of his own choosing, without his family's input. But Rory's comparison to "Vegas" in an apt one. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. It's a vacation, an illusion... but eventually Real Life catches up to you. It's interesting that so many of their escapades involve costumes and roleplay. The secret LDB meeting, the Tarantino party, the LDB reunion in AYITL... They are literally playing dress-up. Not to mention the references to Peter Pan and the Wizard of Oz... It's a fun adventure, but it's ultimately a fantasy, a play. None of it is real, and they can't take it with them.

It's like a fantasy relationship, where you can be reckless and that is not healthy. It's like how Lorelai is with Chris.

Definitely agree with paralleling it to Lorelai’s relationship with Chris

Thankfully both Lorelai and Rory left them
