I think that just Luke though. He was hurt, but he can look back on something that reminds him of something that was once special in his life. I mean, still is special, but even though Lorelai hurt him, he doesn't want to get rid of something she gave him that means so much to him.

Much different than Lorelai who got rid of everything, but I agree that it fits with who Luke is to hold onto the hat.

I kinda hate that Lorelai got rid of everything, so it's my headcanon that Rory stores the boxes of stuff away somewhere and she told Lorelai to go get them once LL got back together.

The first thing I think about is the beautiful chuppah Luke made for Lorelai. If she got rid of that, where did she even put it?

There are behind the scenes photos from the revival that show the chuppah, so we know it was there. So in the show's canon, she technically didn't get rid of it.

That's true! We just never saw it in the background on camera, as far as I remember but there is that photo of LL's truck and jeep and the chuppah is in the middle of them.
