Right? They are short pieces and I'll try and pull the Chris one up as I think the event has a link to it. But it was very believable that's what would happen with Chris. He blows all of his inheritance and dies in a motorcycle crash.
Here it is: https://www.thebillfold.com/2015/09/...den%20a%20job. This is the important part that indicates his death: Quote:

Bitter, much, Chris? That's because she was actually in love with Luke and wanted to marry him. She wasn't pushed into the relationship and wasn't in love with him, like with you.

That's when he calls Luke that diner guy, right? Yes he's definitely bitter.

Luke will always be superior to Chris.

In every way.
Luke is selfless and will always come through for those he loves. Chris is selfish and always will let them down. He also has selective love and in the case of Lorelai, his "love" was an infatuation and from a trauma bond relationship, so it wasn't real love. I also question his love for Rory. __________________

A great comparison between these scenes:

Yes, it's a great comparison. Luke bringing up the subject of kids is through a loving moment, where LL have just got engaged and he's thinking about their future. He isn't making any demands of Lorelai, he's saying they can have kids, or don't need to. It's whatever she wants.
Where as Chris bringing up the subject is through an act of jealousy. He only wants kids to tie Lorelai to him because he knows she is still on love with Luke and her feelings for him are not genuine. That's what he's thinking it will do. He then tries to force it to happen, Lorelai tells him not right now, and then he gets all manipulative when he sulks. He is so vile. __________________

The Chris and Lorelai scene is so uncomfortable to watch. I am so glad Lorelai came to her senses and divorced him. That scene right there is an example of what her life would be like, had she stayed with Chris. Just awful.

It's depressing to think what her life would be like, had she stayed with Chris any longer than she did. Had he managed to convince her to have another kid, it would be her raising the kid alone again. It would be a loveless marriage, since Lorelai is faking her feelings for him to suppress how she really feels. I do think she would divorce him eventually, though.
