One of Luke's best rants and Chris has no valid comeback to that. All he can yell is that Rory is his and Lorelai's daughter and where he was was of no concern to Luke. How sadly pathetic.

onebreath 06-07-2022 03:59 PM

He can't defend himself at all and he has no right to. God he was so fkn disgusting in that episode.

Talula78 06-08-2022 05:21 AM

Well, Chris wasn’t wrong, he just doesn’t understand that it takes more than his semen to be a good father.

stellar_dust 06-08-2022 08:49 AM

He was wrong to say that where he was was of no concern to Luke. Since Luke stepped up for Rory and Lorelai for so much of Rory's life, it was his concern.

You're right, Chris. She's genetically yours. But sorry to tell you, that guy has been more of a father to your kid than you have.

Right. Luke will always be more of a father to Rory than Chris ever was. He actually cared. He was there. He didn't use Rory to score points with or to try and get with Lorelai.

Luke's love for Rory was unconditional. Chris' "love" for her was depending on where he was with Lorelai.

stellar_dust 06-08-2022 03:29 PM

He has no interest in being a dad to Rory if he can't gain out of it.

onebreath 06-08-2022 04:02 PM

Exactly. He's just that selfish.

It me:

Oh that's funny. I'm definitely a Christopher Hayden hater and proud of it. I would be embarrassed to feel any other way about him.

onebreath 06-09-2022 10:21 AM

I can't fathom ever liking or even tolerating such a trash character.

stellar_dust 06-10-2022 04:55 AM

I agree. Nothing will change my mind about how much I hate him.

onebreath 06-10-2022 07:30 AM

Love all the comments on this post. If one thing we can collectively agree on (besides like 10 people with terrible taste) is that Chris absolutely sucks and it was SO GOOD to see Luke call him out.

Such a great moment for Luke.

I really enjoyed reading through all those comments. There is no defending Chris there at all and I'm glad to see no one tried.

onebreath 06-10-2022 04:55 PM

I mean, there are people out there who will defend him, give him passes and claim he was never a deadbeat dad and..... gross, blame Lorelai for his being absent. I don't understand why, at all, they do this, but yeah, none of them were in those comments that I saw at least.

stellar_dust 06-11-2022 07:54 AM

I really don't understand how people can claim he isn’t a deadbeat dad when what we see on screen through his actions, shows us that he is.
