He is so damn annoying in that scene, just barging into the house and yelling like that. What did he expect from Lorelai? To keep on like things were fine, while he goes back to Sherry? Did he want to keep her as his sidepiece, while he gets engaged to Sherry? He's truly pathetic. I wish he just stayed out of their lives completely after that. Both Lorelai and Rory are better off without him. Loser.

I never zoomed in enough before to notice his face but omg.

Yeah, it was always a peaceful time on the show when Chris wasn't around. There was no need for him to be in Lorelai's life at that point, now that Rory was an adult. I'm so thankful Lorelai came to that realisation... eventually.

One of my absolute and forever favourite things about AYITL, is that Chris and Lorelai had no scenes together. Not even a phone conversation. Amazing.

Over time, Christopher's desires and personality became endlessly needy. He only wanted to spend time with Rory while trying to win Lorelai back (or when Sherry made him) and he became whiny when he didn't get his way on Gilmore Girls.

Exactly! He does this over and over again. He never grows. It's pretty disgusting, actually, how he always used his daughter in this way.

Also this:

Christopher told her he changed his mind and didn't want to wait for her anymore — he wanted to get married now. After everything they'd been through, Lorelai felt like she couldn't say no. Despite all the red flags, she married him because his relentlessness was impossible to escape.

He pushes, he manipulates to get his way. He uses her vulnerability.
