Go Dean! |
So happy Dean got his happy ending!
All I wanted was for the kid to be happy! I was tearing up over their scene! |
Can we talk without the tags already or not yet?
Spoiler:
So I bumped into two links today: https://www.bustle.com/articles/1146...a-car-remember This lovely, lovely little one :melt: https://www.bustle.com/articles/1951...more-girls-guy And this one, with which I don't fully agree, since I still liked s2 Dean, but I do completely agree on "whatever happened to s1!Dean". |
Yes, feel free to talk without the spoiler tags now. ;) Thanks so much for the links!
I said this in the Dean thread but I LOVED the cornstarch moment! |
I really liked these two in the revival. They were sweet in the series.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice the double meaning of the scene. I was reading this article where someone said "and, honestly, if I saw an ex-girlfriend at the market 10 years later and she looked longingly at me as Rory looked at Dean, I'd feel sorry for her". Not that I would, but apparently I wasn't the only one to notice a certain longing in Rory's words. That scene is so confusing! You either get over it(as she quickly stated about first loves), or you still wish you had had another chance with him(which was what she basically said later). So although a lot of people took it as "oh, she's so over it", I took it as more of a "she's over not being able to be with him, but she still wishes she could be somehow".

To me Dean will always be the best boyfriend Rory has ever had. I'm glad that he got a very happy ending. He deserved nothing less. |
Yes I loved the cornstarch moment too! :thud:

I'm glad they address she blew it there. Dean was, indeed, her best boyfriend, it's admitted by Rory herself now. It's one of those things in life you wish you could've changed, but you know you wouldn't be where you are now if that hadn't happened then. Doesn't change the fact you still wish you had that thing or person you lost in your life now. It's a mature conflict that I'm glad was dealt with properly, although I did not love her initial dismissal(that didn't match her altered reaction to seeing him at all).

Yes I totally agree she still longs for Dean too but knows deep she blew it!!
Jared board's thread for GG! :D http://www.fanforum.com/f247/dean-ro...23/index5.html http://www.fanforum.com/f247/dean-fo...8/index16.html |
She blew it early on when Jess came along but when they got back together and had the affair that was incredibly frustrating to watch and it ruined Dean for me. I was quite glad Logan came along to lure her away from him at that point. But the first year of their relationship was golden.

Yes the first year Dean and Rory were a couple was awesome! :thud:

Dean was the first year of their relationship really a perfect boyfriend. And she might regret losing such a sweet relationship. But if she stayed with him, she might have regretted that she wasn't living more exciting life. She would have asked herself: what if... They were just so young. There is no win situation here. |
I thought the scene was so great! It kind of gave me the feeling that it might not be entirely over. I know, it might sound a little far fetched, but im not counting it out. The way Rory described him is what did it for me. She definitely had those longing eyes for him and to me, it confirms something i knew for a long time now. Dean is her biggest regret in that she probably feels she REALLY screwed things up with him. He is the man she wishes she could be with and now he's married with children.. so to go back to my first point, i wouldn't be surprised if this revival stuff continues for a little while, that she and Dean might find their way to each other at a time it fits for them both. Hate to wish divorce on anyone, but hey.. its a TV show. |
Rory and Dean had a sweet realtionship until some one came along in s2. I am glad he found a happy ending
