I ageee the surrogate SL was dumb because it sort of seemed like both of them wanted to do it but they kept miscommunicating and then it never got resolved? I would have been better to just mention it in passing and say neither wanted more kids.

I agree about Logan, he looked great and seemed matured and I just don't see what Paul's purpose was? Had they both been single than fine but it would have been better if a) they were casually dating or b) they just were really good friends.

Wow, I’m so glad Gilmore Girls are back.

First, RIP Richard Gilmore. Edward Hermann was such a fabulous actor and I would have loved to see him in the new version. That said, they dealt with his death so well.

The fight between Lorelei and Emily was very real but wasn’t up to par with their previous fights.

And R/L! Yes!!!

Winter. I cried so much during the opening. It was like nothing had changed! And yet so much had.

Apparently, the cellphone reception got worse.

The funeral was so incredibly sad and I felt bad for the characters AND the actors who all had to miss Richard/Edward. :( I hated to see them all so sad. But the Lorelai/Emily stuff was very powerful.

Michel is married! I loved that so much. Finally, no more debate. He's gay and he's married. And they are making kids. I actually thought that surrogate clinic would have been a great thing for Michel and Frederick. It felt so awkward.

Loved seeing Luke and Lorelai living together.

Loved seeing Hep Alien all together, making music.

The opening made me smile. It gave me so much nostalgia. But I was left feeling deflated by the end. It's not what I'd expected. Maybe because I closed the door ages ago. But ergh.

Loved the ep, primarily for giving me more little Lane things than I expected. The Rory/Lane scene immediately after the Rory/Lorelai scene at the beginning, the Rory/Lane/Paris scene and the Hep Alien scene. All I'm missing now is Mrs. Kim.

I also love how Lane and Paris are having the opposite problem – Lane dissatisfied with her husband being promoted and wearing a tie, Paris dissatisfied with her husband going artsy and wearing jeans and rock t-shirts.

Speaking of Paris, the clinic sl is so creepy to me, but that’s primarily because of how I feel about surrogacy in rl (I have no attachment to traditional family, pregnancy and childbirth whatsoever, but surrogacy has been closely tied with reproductive exploitation so far). It is in character though. And my (already high) respect for Liza as an actress has increased. I see no Bonnie Winterbottom in Paris Geller and vice versa. Many tv actors just play all their roles with the same mannerism and tone of voice, but Liza’s not one of them.

I like that Rory is pleased with her work and trying to figure out what kind of lifestyle she wants for herself.

LL are cute, minus the kid thing. They are happy with each other. And they already have two kids. Leave it at that please.

Lorelai/Emily fight was powerful.

Kirk at the FND was funny. I felt bad for Luke when he had to stand and eat though. He still puts up with a lot from Emily.

Loved the Jason cameo. He’s possibly my favorite temporary love interest. Dunno why he’d be at Richard’s funeral, given how Richard screwed him over. Maybe they reconciled in the mean time.

Logan is charismatic, as always. And RL still have good chemistry. But they are back to where they were at in s5. Which I don’t mind, but wonder what is the purpose of it all. Plus, it feels a bit like ASP is completely ignoring the s7 RL. Though I guess it’s not impossible for Logan to be over her rejecting his proposal after all this time.

Poor Paul. That plot is funny but also a bit too exaggerated for comedic purposes and needs to end soon. If Rory wants to date casually good for her. But she needs to not be in presumably committed relationship at the same time. Not to mention, why keep yourself tied to a guy you clearly couldn’t care less about? Relationships are exhausting enough even when you actually like the person you’re with.

Alex Kingston’s character seems fun.

Love seeing Gypsy being Gypsy and Taylor being Taylor.

Gay Michel confirmation was also awesome.

All in all, I really enjoyed and got a bit sentimental at some points.

HEP ALIEN IS AWESOME !!!!!!!

i felt bad for paul, everyone kept forgetting him, especially rory.

i cant believe rory is having an affair with logan (after being the other woman with dean way back when i cant believe she is now doing this again ) i expected better from her.

luke not understanding how a surrogate works was funny

I enjoyed seeing LL finally living together.

The Lorelai/Emily funeral scene was a great scene.

I don't see why they had Paul in the revival. Pointless and silly storyline.

Loved the RL stuff despite the cheating

hshapir2 11-25-2016 09:34 PM

I don't have Netflix. Is this the last episode? Are there more episodes coming? thanks

Swift2Potter 11-25-2016 09:36 PM

This is actually the first episode. Fall is the last one.

The cell phone reception thing didn't make sense to me.
Rory running around trying to get a clear reception.
And apparently later on Lane's house is just the perfect spot

Alexa 11-26-2016 06:55 AM

i almost feel like paul would have been funnier had we not seen him at all. cuz he seemed like a perfectly nice guy and you just felt bad for him.

I agree especially the fact that it wasn't resolved well in the end.
I don't understand that lorelai at that age (her late 40's) would still want a baby either...

smoguntia 11-26-2016 07:09 AM

poor Paul, everybody is constantly forgetting him
And Rory and Logan are friends with benefits now, I don't know what to think about that storyline.

Luke is still the same, never doing what he wants, always giving in to Lorelai. I'm happy for them that they are still together and living together now. They are cute together but to be honest I never really shipped them. I think they worked better as friends during the first seasons.

Richard :bawl: I knew it would going to be a sad. The funeral and the fight were hard to watch but it was a great and intense scene. Going to a mother/daughter therapy is probably nod a bad idea, there are many things Emily and Loralai need to talk out.

Yay for Michel being married, for Kirk being still Kirk, yay for all the other characters who are still around, yay for Stars Hollow and all the inside jokes and running gags. I enjoyed this episode a lot, but my head was buzzing from all the talking. It seems there were even more talking than in the original show
