I found the episode ho-hum save for the guilty pleasure of seeing Rory say "Badabing!", but Futon Critic rated The Festival of Living Art episode #49 in it's top 50 episodes of the year (so far they're up to 41).

We'll just fess up to it: we love Kirk (Sean Gunn) here at The Futon Critic and this episode featured one of the funniest Kirk moments of 2003. When Stars Hollow is called upon to host the Festival of Living Art, Kirk is saddled with the role of Jesus in The Last Supper. The problem is Kirk goes way overboard with the role, getting unnecessarily upset at the man playing Judas.

Something also to look out for. WB held their winter Television Critics Association press junket. And chances are the stars of GG were dragged there for it. So keep a lookout for any pics from it that may appear.

Yeah, the Living Art thing was unique for TV and here's to hoping the makeup dept. get's an Emmy nod or something, but the episode as a whole was meh IMO.

In the new TV Guide there is a Cheers for GG in the Cheers and Jeers section.

Cheers to the WB for giving Gilmore Girls an early renewal for next season. When Rory(Alexis Bledel) started college at Yale last fall, the show underwent some creative growing pains, but now the scripts are back on track. It's good to know that, unlike Rory's mother(Lauren Graham), Gilmore fans won't be suffering from empty-nest syndrome anytime soon.
