Haha, as much as I would’ve loved to have been a part of the fandom watching the show live, I’m not sure I could’ve put up with the stress of wondering where ASP was taking the show. I’ve also read horror stories of all the animosity within the fandom and that would’ve gotten to me as it has with a couple other favorite shows of mine. It was kinda nice to watch it at my own pace.

I enjoyed watching it live. I met some great people in the spoiler thread but there was way to much drama and I felt I got a little to addictive. It's why I do my best to not get to attached with tv shows.

I didn't experience much drama, but I stuck to discussing the show with my fellow JavaJunkies. Sometimes there would be a little drama in LJ communities from the one or two accounts who were in support of the season 7 Chris/Lorelai relationship, but they were vastly outnumbered.

I think the GG fandom was the first one I was all in for. It was definitely an experience being here on FF while the show was still airing.

I would’ve enjoyed sharing the fandom experience with you, Lindsay. I’m grateful for this forum still being around when I first watched it because I desperately needed to gush over it with people who understood and shared the love for this wonderful show.

Out of all the fandoms I have been a part of over the years, the GG one has pretty much no drama compared to some other fandoms. Obviously there is some when it comes to Rory and her boyfriends, because there will always be drama when it comes to rival ships, but I still think it's so mild compared to others.

It really is. As easier as it is to watch a show when you want and binge it, you can't beat the experience of watching it live and being part of the fandom then.

There is a palpable excitement in the air with live shows, I do miss that. And I miss the spoiler articles with everyone trying to predict what's to happen in the episodes.
