All Star Movies.
It'll be my first time there, I stayed at Music the last time, I wanted to go back, but it was still closed when we booked last year..

Talula78 04-24-2022 07:07 AM

That's where we're staying the first night. :) This'll tick yet another Disney resort off my list. It'll be nice experiencing a different All Star resort from the one I stayed at a few years ago (All Star Music).

I went ahead and booked Mears because it's half the cost of a Lyft or Uber ($32 round trip).

**Anja** 04-24-2022 10:26 AM

Cool..:) Did you book a standard room?
We got a preferred room, and I'm kinda hoping we'll be in the Dalmations section. Everyone seems to want to be in the Toy Story buildings, so I'm like nope, not me..

Have you any idea what a Lyft will cost us to the resort? I can't find it on the app..

Talula78 04-25-2022 05:24 AM

We booked a standard room since we're only going to be there that first night. We'll transfer to Port Orleans French Quarter the next day.

I just looked right now (8:23am in FL) and it'd cost $36.74 and that's ONE WAY.

**Anja** 04-25-2022 05:28 AM

And that's for two people right? Or are they charging that per person? If so, then the Mears bus is definitely cheaper..

Your trips sound exciting!

Talula78 04-26-2022 04:58 AM

^I’m getting super excited about my NYC trip here in a few weeks! :woot:

That’s for however many would fit in an economy vehicle but even if you were splitting it two ways, it’s still more expensive. I don’t mind taking the bus, it’s relaxing and kinda cool to see some of the other resorts.

Lindsay 04-26-2022 09:35 AM

I bet, Jen! What dates are you going?

Hmm, yeah that does makes the bus cheaper.. I did love the Magical Express, even though I arrived at night last time, and it only stopped at All Star Sports. I might go and book the Mears next month then.

May 16-20. ;)

I'm trying to decide if I want to see Funny Girl that Tuesday evening? I could also meet up with a friend of our family's that night for dinner so we shall see.

Anja - I can also understand the benefits to taking a ride share to the resort, nothing beats taking you straight there after a day of travel. Please let me know what you decide on doing.

**Anja** 04-27-2022 07:59 AM

Yeah, I'll talk it over with my mom.
We do have a long travelday, leaving at 11am our time (which is around 5am Florida time), then have a 4 hour lay-over in Atlanta. We're supposed to arrive in Orlando around 8.30pm.

Talula78 04-28-2022 05:20 AM

Oh wow! That’s a loooooong day for y’all! It’ll be so worth it and so much fun! :)

Hmm, now deciding if I want to keep my Tuesday evening clear to meet up for dinner with another friend of mine there. I wanted to see Funny Girl but the tix are $241.65! Plus it’s getting panned by critics who are more than likely and unfairly comparing it to the Streisand production. :( I feel so bad for Beanie Feldstein.

Lindsay 04-28-2022 09:53 AM

Oh wow. Pricey tickets.

I can imagine you'll be exhausted with the time change and traveling, Anja!

**Anja** 04-29-2022 03:07 AM

The time difference doesn't really bother me when I get there, it's when I get home that it hits me..

Talula78 04-29-2022 04:56 AM

I think adrenaline is to answer for some of that. But yes, I was totally exhausted arriving in London and just wanted to crash!

**Anja** 04-29-2022 05:42 AM

That might be a huge part as well.. Gosh, yeah I remember arriving and scaring you to death because you were half asleep..

Lindsay 04-29-2022 06:31 PM

^ Oh geez.

msstock87 04-29-2022 11:00 PM

Hope everyone enjoys their trips!

Talula78 04-30-2022 05:57 AM

Thanks! Do you have any trips planned?

 Haha, you arrived right after I did. It hadn’t been 2 minutes before you came through the door but it was a good thing. If I slept I would've been out for that entire evening and night. I needed to force myself to stay up so my body could adjust to the time difference.

I am going to Traverse City in July. We have a nice resort we stay at every Summer right on the water. It’s very relaxing.

Oh, how lovely is that?! Have fun and enjoy your stay there! :)

msstock87 05-12-2022 10:48 PM

Thanks! Appreciate that!

Talula78 05-13-2022 03:46 AM

Ugh I need to pack for my trip next week. I love taking trips but I hate the packing bit. I’m worried I’m gonna forget something important.

Lindsay 05-13-2022 07:54 PM

Yes, packing sucks.

**Anja** 05-14-2022 01:59 PM

Good luck with packing Jen!:)
