Ingmar, I'm really sorry about your mom. Mark and my mom's are gone, too. My youngest was working, my middle kid was out of town for the weekend and my oldest is still staying away because of Clovis. I did get to spend the weekend with my grandson and Mark. We got take out for dinner on mother's day.

I've never felt so manipulated and utterly devastated in my life after a TV series finale as I have with Younger. This is the second day I've spent crying my little heart out over a fictional couple. Am I crazy to get this invested? Have any of y'all had such a reaction?

I feel you, How I Met Your Mother broke my heart into shatters with what they did to my ship. it was just a huge betrayal and really ridiculous. I've had ships not happen before but the way the HIMYM writers treated my ship and the two separate characters was all kinds of effed up. I'm never getting invested in a ship without knowing how they end now.

EVERYONE is saying how similar the bait and switch endings of these two shows resemble one another. I never watched HIMYM but I now feel for those fans because of what they did to my ship. Seriously, it breaks my trust with any showrunner or writer. I think I'll follow suit and only get invested with ships I know end well.


Right?! It makes me lose faith in writers when they pull this kind of crap on their audience. And with Younger it screwed over ALL factions of the audience! TeamCharles got screwed, TeamJosh got screwed because they didn't get ANYTHING but the last stupid scene this season, and the people who wanted her to be successful without a man got screwed because they had her presumably reconnecting with her second choice man in the end. Why, just WHY?!!!

I had a feeling after reading some of your twitter posts I never watched Younger, but I read the recap from the finale and if I have to believe all of the comments that finale was baaaaad. I feel for you!

There are certain couples that I really shipped over the year, but never to the point that it made me as furious/sad as you are (and I don't mean that in a bad way - quite the opposite - I love how invested you are!). But hey, I was one of the few who still liked the finale of HIMYM; I thought the ending fitted the show.

Thinking, thinking. Only couple that comes to mind is Shaw/Root from Person of Interest. I mean, them not ending up made sense for the show (don't want to spoil it for anyone), but I was really, really invested and I hoped they would make end up together. And of course I prefered Rory with Jess, but I think that's it.
