I think the wedding was originally supposed to be bigger than it was, so maybe he was in the original plans? __________________

I think it was stated multiples times in various interviews that the budget was cut a few times during the writing process/pre-production. This lead to a few bigger scenes not making the cut for filming or being re-organized to fit the budget.
ASP said that the LL wedding was one of those. Initially there was a big wedding planned with a lot of the cast present, but it had to be scrapped due to these budget cuts. I can't recall which interview it was though. __________________

Yeah I remember reading that too. I would rather have scrapped the LDB thing and invested that money on the wedding,
