I think I'm finally gonna get that and the season 2 DVD

I have a ton of stuff plastered on my walls already (movie posters, etc.) I'm honestly running out of room

I dont have any posters, but I bought the original dvds for seasons 1 - 3 a long time ago, when it was still normal to watch dvds.

Woohoo! I'm excited because a friend of mine got me the This Is Us season 1 DVD set for my (very belated) Christmas present! We hadn't seen each other in quite a while and Lindsay and I met up with her for the Astros vs. Indians game in Houston so she brought the DVDs with her to give me.

I just didn't become passionate about This Is Us, the rest of the cast don't do it for me, and not a fan of the pornstache.

I love This Is Us, it's a really great show with strong writing and I'm a sucker for all things family drama. This is the only family drama post Parenthood that I'll watch. I couldn't be happier for his success with this show.

idk why but the pornstache really distracts me/detracts from me enjoying/my enjoyment of his character

if he had a full man beard I might feel differently cause I find that look hot

I honestly think ppl are hypocrites for hating on Jess while loving him on that other show but I keep it to myself

I don't think it's hypocritical at all to like and respect what Milo does as Jack Pearson in This Is Us but not care for his character in Gilmore Girls. I take some issue with the writing of Jess, NOT the performance from Milo, there's a huge difference. I know many people who are Jess fans who hate Logan but appreciate Matt in The Good Wife or The Resident and I wouldn't ever call them hypocrites.

I feel/get defensive sometimes especially on tumblr where the brunt of hate on his character occurs (gotten pretty good at filtering it) but it's good to hear that you still like his performance even if you still have the issue with the writing of his character

sometimes people just love to bash his character though

Personally overall I like how they wrote his character (he definitely has one of the best character arcs on the show). But part of me still thinks the events at the end of S3 was influenced by the spin-off that didn't happen.

People are always going to bash characters, actors, musicians, etc. on social media, it’s just the nature of the beast. It's important for us to be the promoter of good and learn to rise above the hate.
