Bumping this thread to say my favorite episode of them was Presenting Lorelai Gilmore I loved their banter and history

I did enjoy that episode and I hate to admit it, as a tried & true LL shipper, but their banter was pretty funny!

Yeah, I also loved the scene where he says he doesn't want his parents life either. It's that moment I felt they were so perfect

I really liked that ep as well. I liked the two of them together in it, especially their dance at Miss Patty's. Always thought that it would have been nice if Lorelai paired with Dean and Chris paired with Rory so that they could teach them how to dance.

Oh yes, that would've been cute! It's scenes like the dance scene which always made it hard for me to outright hate Chris.

I understand he was absent and I think he had seperating his relationship with Lorelai and Rory. I don't think he ever really got that just because he and Lorelai weren't together he could still have a relationship. I don't think he got that until the later season.

I still think he and Rory have a good relationship now and that he will walk her down the aisle and be a grandfather to her future children

Yes, I agree with this! I'd hope he'd be invited to her wedding! Man, now THAT would've been a great episode to see!

I do love how David played Christopher! He was able to make me sympathize with his character even knowing what he did by not being there for his daughter.

I am sure Lorelai would have been married first.

I know some people finding redeemable qualities of Chris so I thought I would say some.

1. He was someone who I felt had self awareness of his past I believe
2. He had a good sense of humor
3. He paid for Rory's education and wanted to provide for Lorelai. He felt guilty for not getting Rory the dictionary
4. He still worked even after he inherited alot of money, I find that admirable
5. He tried to do better with GG
6. He could be fun and romantic
7. He always called Rory every wednesday in S2. I hated the writers drop that post 3.
There are more but those are the ones that I came at the moment.

Thanks for posting those, Maria! I agree w/ you on his sense of humor and I happened to love their date in s7 with the drive in movie on a barn.
