Now I'm watching season 1. They both have to go see their parents for dinner. Rory thinks they're both the drama king and queen of Conneticut.

Lorelei hates President Bush. And Richard just kicked Christopher's parents out. And now they're having a fight.

Never a dull moment.

Now they're having sex on the balcony. Guess I know where the title of this thread comes from.

OMG Lorelai making that statement about Bush just to stir things up, she sure did get the results!

Even though I'm a JJ shipper, I agree that they had a chemistry and history and I didn't mind their times together in the earlier seasons. It was nice to see who Rory's father was. :)

Bumping up this thread cause I still have love for Lorelai and Christopher. Their chemistry was always undeniable. Even though I do like Luke and Lorelai together there was something about these two that I always found very special. I think Lorelai did love Christopher but she was never in love with him so I hope not all of the moments from season 7 between the two of them are forgotten in the revival. I know season 7 gets a lot of flack but I didn't think it was all that bad tbh. I hope we get at least a good scene between the two of them :)

I wish they had a scene in the revival but I enjoyed seeing Chris again. I do believe despite his flaws he loves Rory

I wish they had a scene in the revival too. I like LL and have always known they are the show’s otp. But CL chemistry was amazing imo and I always enjoyed them on screen together.

They do have amazing chemistry and banter

I never questioned his love for Rory, but he was kind of a waste as a father and neglected her FAR too much IMO.

I agree with this, I do think they had chemistry together even though I will always be a loyal LL shipper. I think they both served a purpose in each other's lives.

It would have been nice if she saw before she went to do Wild the book not the movie. It would have been nice to see his reaction

I just finished season 2, I knew it seemed a little too convenient that Chris showed up. I felt bad for Lorelai because she seemed so hurt, but at the same time I felt she wasn't surprised that he had to leave.

Talula78 08-23-2017 12:20 PM

Yeah, it really hurt. I would've been fine with them as a couple at that point in the series.

If I didn't already know what some of the future holds, it did look like they were going to make a go of it. I don't dislike Chris, but I do like Luke better for her. :)

Yep, that's me, pretty much. I can see why she was drawn to Chris, he shares a similar sense of humor and their banter was natural.

fox24 08-25-2017 07:44 PM

They also had good chemistry

Talula78 08-26-2017 08:04 AM

 They did.

What would have Lorelai's life been, had she married Chris at 17 (16, 18)?

I know that might be a strange question. because it's a pure speculation, but it's something I'm wondering about.
We only know, Richard would hire Chris in his office.

But would L/C live with Emily and Richard and how long? Would they attend university (Princeton, Yale) at some point despite Rory?
And most importantly, would Chris have better life? Chris is so weak, but Lorelai is strong. Would she help him to overcome different obstacles and become a happy, successful person and a good father to Rory (and in the end maybe even his own father would be proud of him)?
