Honestly, good for him. Actors deserve to be happy with their work, so if not appearing in a few episodes is his choice, then all the power to him for doing what he's happy with.

This doesn't really bother me. I'll miss him as Simon but he's not in the 2nd book except for the pall mall scenes so this news doesn't change much. Though I guess to be fair who knows what the show would have given us. They could have included him in more than that but . It was his choice to go and I support that.

And as for the important pall mall scenes I'm sure they can have Eloise or Benedict take that spot.
