I can't wait for more stories to be added. I know there are more. Hopefully one day I'll be adding my own story.

That doesn't count EarlB!!

My Shiri story No.1 is from Oct. 2004 - I met Shiri for the first time at the NY Film Festival when she had that small role in Undertow. It was the premiere. I was going to take pix across from the pro photographers, but the nice organizer man let me stand on the same side as them so I wouldn't be flashing into their cameras and spoiling their shots. They told the Miramax guy they didn't know who anyone was and the guy told them he'd point out the cast, but I was standing farther away from the entrance and thus all the actors had to pass by me first. Shiri got out of a limo on 65 St and I watched her walk over to the red carpet. I took a pic of her and thanked her for doing an online chat with .:roswellmovie.net. She said something like "my pleasure" and poor girl I snapped my camera right in her face. The rest of the photographers now knew who she was and had no problem taking lots of pix thereafter. She posed with her co-stars as they came along.

She also did the Q&A. She was asked how was it being the only girl in the cast and she said it was cool. She was also asked about getting all dirty for the role and she said something like it was distasteful to get all dirty and have your hair look dirty and spiky and how the director seemed to want her dirtier and her hair shorter and funkier, but it was also freeing and so you could get into your character. She seemed to be escorted by Dermot Mulrooney, one of her co-stars.
They all left the theater to presumably go to a party and I watched them all leave and go to their limo (but didn't take more pix).

I think those are the best ones but the rest are here

Story no. 2 -- as Erin has mentioned, I was at the Boston premiere of When Do We Eat. I can only add that all of us attending that premiere were seated in a row and when the Director and Shiri came into the theater I think someone called out to her and she came over and said hello to each of us. I asked her how she liked Boston and she said she loved it and had friends there.

Erin told you all the rest.

Story No. 3 is Tribeca. We all were going to the I'm Reed Fish premiere and on behalf of a bunch of us I got Shiri flowers. Somewhere there's a shot of the bouquet. It was small roses. I had it in a shopping bag and as Shiri went to leave the theater, first ChaosThry2 stopped her and that gave me enough time to get to her and give her the bag with the flowers. She thanked me and I said it was from all her fans. I think I said I would just give her the bag so she could carry it. She then posed for pix with us all. I was impressed because she had said to us that she had to go -- movie party and/or meeting up with friends -- so it was gracious of her to stop for us. You may not have seen this one.

The rest are here Thanette/Tribeca - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Since I really only glimpsed Shiri on The Killing Floor set, I can't say I have a story -- but I was there.

Next person's story please!

i met shiri quite a few years ago. it was by accident and i didn't really know who she was. i probably sounded like a complete idiot (which is normal), even though i wasn't star-struck in the least. i was trying to figure out how i knew her. it was in covina when roswell was being filmed. i remember i had a cast on my arm from a recent car accident (so i must have been 19) and i stopped her on the street. for some reason she was just walking and when i saw her i just knew her. little did i know, at the time, that i only knew her because i had seen her on tv.

it still makes me laugh. i was probing her for information, much like i do when i see people that i have only briefly met but feel i should know more about them than i do....which in this case was nothing. i said, "hey! how's it goin?" she was such a doll. it was small talk at first, just standing on the sidewalk in old town covina. my part of the conversation was questions like, how have you been? what have you been doing lately? all the while i was purging my memory for some recollection of how i knew this girl and why the hell i felt so inclined to stop her on the street. (mind you, it was a severe car accident and i had suffered a massive concussion among other injuries....so that's my excuse =)

so i ended up telling her, "i'm sorry, i know i know you, but for the life of me i can't remember from where or how. what's your name?"

"shiri." she said. never once did she point out the fact that i had never really met her. she was too sweet to highlight my miscalculation.

in the end, i apologized for stopping her from whatever she was doing and she said it wasn't a problem.

there are only three things that stick out in my mind. the first, and most important, was her attentive attitude. it really made me feel that she knew me, too (which, unfortunately only fed fuel to the fire of my perusal). she wasn't trying to walk away or acting annoyed by me. she looked me directly in the eyes.

the second thing is the angle at which she had to look at me. i'm fairly tall, almost 6'2", and she's just a tiny little thing, maybe a foot shorter than me or so.

and lastly was her smile. i don't think i need to go into detail about that one or reiterate what's already been said.

so, it was about two weeks later when i sit down next to my sister on the couch with my nightly bowl of honey bunches of oats and see that same girl on tv!!!! roswell? is this that show that my sister is always watching? then she starts talking about how they film right near us in covina and people have been able to meet them and she was planning on going out there so she could meet jason behr.

!!!!!!! all the blood drained from my face when i realized that i had met liz parker and acted like i knew her, like i had partied with her or something just as trivial. a million thoughts ran through my head about how stupid i must have looked, but in the end, at least i didn't put her on a pedastal and i'm grateful that she didn't call me out on my mistake, but most of all, I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID NOT HIT ON HER OR ASK HER FOR HER NUMBER. even though i was extremely tempted to do so, i had enough on my plate at the time. my sister invited me to go with her to try to meet some of the cast, but i quietly declined.

i have been a fan of shiri's ever since. i'm sure i'll run into her again when i'm a famous blues-star. =) if i ever do run into her again, i guarantee that it will be accidental and that i will have an equally embarrassing story to tell. that's just me....i look like derek vinyard but act like steve urkel....

Color Me Blue - That's such a funny and unique story.: I've heard a lot of them over the years and you not remembering who she was at the time is priceless. And I love how everyone says she's really nice and sometimes shy. Thanks so much for sharing. Btw, did your sister ever end up meeting Jason, Shiri or anyone else from the cast?

yeah, i'm sure she has quite a few pictures with all of them. she was a regular out there. she has the handprint tattoo. pretty crazy stuff, those fans. i'll see if she still has them so i can post some of them. i never went back. i was too embarrassed. i'm 26 now, so i'm sure she doesn't remember one encounter from seven years ago....but i would LOVE to run into her again....

I would love to see the pictures if you could post them. Fans can be crazy at times, I've heard many of those stories too. I can see you being embarrassed but really it could have been worse like you said. You could have hit on her and asked for her number or called her by her characters name.

I can't believe it's been so long since Roswell. Time really does fly when you're having fun.

Great story Color Me Blue. I’ll admit that like Shiri I am also very shy. When I met Shiri for the first time at the Reed Fish premiere my heart jumped out of my chest. As I made my way from my seat to where Shiri was standing I thought I was going to drop dead. I had no idea how my moth was going to open or what crazy things might come out. I thought for sure she would end up calling for security to hall me out of there. Or that my alarm clock was going to go off and this would all be a dream. I felt like a complete mess. I was shocked that I managed to speak in full complete sentences and make her laugh in the process. But after Shiri said hello and made me feel welcomed it was as if we have been BFF. I then forgot that Shiri was an actress and just thought of her as a normal person like everyone else. I have to agree that Shiri is very tiny. I am 5’5 and with her heals on she was still a tiny bit shorter then me. Now her smile alone can make any man feel like they are going pass out. All she has to do is just stand and smile and I begin to shake and hyperventilate. Shiri was the most nicest and down to earth and not to mention most naturally beautiful woman I have ever met regardless of there profession. As pretty as she is on the big screen/TV and in magazines she is 110X prettier in person. Words can't even begin to describe or do her justice.
