Julie and the Phantoms - Possible Board Closure Discussion: Please Read and Respond!

Hello, everyone. It's Jackie, and I have been dreading this for some time now, but I think that it may be time to close the Julie and the Phantoms board.

We have 1 amazing season filled with 9 musically filled, family oriented episodes. But Netflix decided it wasn't enough to pick up or give Kenny the rights. The show was canceled back in December 2021! But then in January, when Kenny & Co were in Brazil, we got the final message that we wouldn't get JATP back. No chance.

And that's not fair to the cast, crew, or us.

Our post counts have been steady mostly due to game threads and the amazing help of our two passionate posters: My Kind Of Crazy & x♥xBeautiful_Butterflyx♥x. THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH! I wouldn't survive without you both keeping the board going.

As you know, Fan Forum requires that we average at least 10 posts per day, with lower numbers than that leading to warnings and then possible closure of the board. That's not the concern at this point. It's mostly exhausting for me to keep a board that runs on games.

I love these characters and cast. I want to keep talking about them. And, here at FanForum, we do have many spaces to continue to do so. If not already, each of the actors will have a thread at Celebrities. Join me at the Couples board to talk about every and all combo couples. Let's take the show's music and Jeremy's and Madi's music over to the Music board. Let's continue to spread JATP love everywhere!

But this isn't my sole decision. What do you all think? If people want to keep this board going, I'm looking for more discussions in threads outside of games. If you want to do a rewatch or survivor or gush over anyone and everyone. Let me know. Come back and have fun.

It is sad, what could have been

love this fandom alot, but i think its best as not many posters and just games thats not enough to keep board going

Had a feeling that this would show at some point, I mean you have mention it before a long time ago, so its kind of been something that had to pop up sometime...
Its been a pleasure to help out on here as much as I could... The show, the cast just everything made it worth it... And it sucks that they didn't get the chance to show what they could do with it, despite it had so much going... But Netflix didn't gave them a chance at all and then kind of dragged the fate of it out for over a year...
I would love for it to stay open, bur at the same time I totally understand, where your coming from... It is hard work to have to keep a board open on just a few threads, have been there with a board and to make the choice to keep it open or close it, is never easy at all...
We could try maybe another month to see if its possible to keep it open, maybe like you said do a rewatche of the show... But lets see what people say and take it from there...

But what happens, its been an absolute pleasure to help out on here as much as I ciuld... Cause the board deserved it more then anything...

yeah I knew this day was coming. its such a shame cuz this was such an awesome show. but its hard to keep boards afloat when the show has been canceled. like you said you cant stay going on just games alone. I will miss this place and all you

Sad to see but I understand. This was a fun show to watch and the cast was great.
