This particular problem really grew a lot while she was away

For once Korra doesn't seem to know at all how she wants to approach something. She's hesitating.

Yeah I think her being away definitely worked in Kuvira's favor.

She's trying to take a different approach by not fighting! And she's not being her old, impulsive self. She's really changed after the Zaheer attack.

When she is impulsive people want her to be patient and when she is patient people want her to be impulsive

Her fight against Kuvira was a mess

Yeah the impulsiveness would be helpful now actually, but of course it's gone when she needs it most

Yeah she got kind of destroyed. I felt kind of bad for her. She's still not quite where she was, even with all the poison gone.

Korra can never find her balance

She didn't get hits on Kuvira until she went into the Avatar State which was super annoying. Then we saw her mental trauma pop back up

Yeah the avatar state seems to be a trigger for her still. Not surprising since she was in it when the worst of everything with Zaheer went down.

She almost lost her life in the Avatar state after being forced into that state in the first place

It's a mess, but an understandable one.

Yeah the fact that she was forced there and then couldn't really control it while awful things happened to her

It's understandable that it's so traumatic for her.

She seemed a bit more like herself being back with her friends though! I think that's good for her.
